General Duties include but not limited to the following: a)Responsible for leading records management projects. b)Responsible for providing technical experience on projects. c)Responsible for completing projects on time and on budget. d)Responsible for working on all records projects, basic and complex. This may include, designs, implementations, conversions, imaging activities, vital records protection, privacy assessments, audits, workflow and business process reengineering, forms management, feasibility studies, electronic projects, hard and soft copy clean up, leading working sessions and conducting various data gathering activities. e)Assisting with the offsite destruction and provide coaching to stakeholders and RIM staff when requested. f)Provide support to stakeholders on retention questions. g)Responsible for leading a project team and ensuring that the team is meeting the measures and targets. h)Collaborates with other functional RIM supervisors and provides updates to the status of projects. i)Provides consultation and expertise to other company departments and programs on key records management services. j)Strategically executes the enterprise Classification Standard for electronic and physical records. k)Responsible for communicating the ECS to the business by partnering with them to improve business flow of information. l)Enhance the ECS when appropriate and communicates relevant changes to the ECS Governance team. m)Writes procedures and provides training and support to departmental personnel and stakeholders. n)Analyzes stakeholder requirements during each phase of the project and provides analysis to the project lead for input into the PMO Artifacts. o)Assists the project lead in the development of RIM methodologies. p)Responsible for adhering to the standards governing the Records Management profession (ISO 15489, Electronic General Standards Guidelines as well as other standards.) q)Ensure that all processes are being followed and adhered to in accordance with corporate governance standards. r)Responsible for keeping abreast of changing legislations. s)Adheres to the project charter, communicates any changes, maintains project files according to ECS, follows throughput standards, meets measures and targets and communicates any suggested changes to project lead in a timely manner. t)Responsible for completing all project reports as it relates to records projects. The reports may include: weekly status reports, monthly DMS reports and quarterly reports. u)Support the company in projects when and where required. v)Foster a team environment with all RIM staff in Canada. w)Responsible for achieving goals and objectives. x)Perform other records management tasks as requested. y)Ability to work independently and in a team environment. z)Effective written and oral communications skills.
6 month contract - $45.00 - $50.00 hr.
1. A Records Management professional who has one of the following designations: Certified Imaging Architect, Certified Records Management, Master of Archives, Bachelor’s degree in business, library science, knowledge management or other related field. 2. A minimum of 4-6 years records experience. 3. A minimum of 2-3 years in the Oil & Gas sector. 4. Knowledge of document management / Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems. 5. Knowledge of Enterprise Records Management practices.
