Duties:

Husky's document and records management program requires a Senior Records Management Analyst to join their team. This role is responsible for helping to develop and deliver business processes for effectively managing electronic and physical records according to current records management best practices and standards. The focus will be to minimize reliance on paper processes and provide electronic solutions wherever possible. This position will also be responsible for managing the Husky Records Retention Schedule and ensuring that it is applied appropriately to record content in the organization and in the Husky Document Management System (HDMS). The role will provide expertise in the configuration of the Records Management module and be responsible for initiating and performing automated record dispositions. The senior analyst will use their strong interpersonal skills to work with other business teams and individuals who are performing records management tasks and activities and will travel to field locations as required. Specific responsibilities include: • Help to develop and deliver business processes for records classification, retention, preservation and disposition of electronic and physical records. • Review, develop and maintain the Husky Records Retention Schedule, working with Legal Counsel or external consultants on major updates and incremental changes. • Review file plans and apply appropriate classification to content in the Husky Document Management System to ensure controls are in place to promote a high standard of data quality. • Provide advice to business units and project teams on the organization and classification of records based on the Husky Records Retention Schedule. • Coordinate the identification, approval and disposition process for hard copy and electronic records using existing technology. • Develop and deliver records management training and education as required. • Contribute to the development of information governance activities including the creation and maintenance of records management procedures and standards.

Salary:

Based on education and experience.

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: • A university degree and 7 years' directly related experience; or a related diploma and 10 years' directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience • A CRM (Certified Records Manager) designation would be desirable but an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. A degree/diploma or masters in library and information management or a related field would also be considered. • Solid technical knowledge and understanding of applying records management principles, concepts tools and technology to document and records management systems. • Specific hands-on super-user experience using the Opentext Livelink Document Management System would be desirable. • Expertise in corporate taxonomies, legal discovery and compliance requirements. • Solid background in both electronic and physical records and information management (classification, retention and disposition). • Expert business analyst skills with a keen understanding of how and where business processes intersect with records management requirements and systems. • Demonstrated knowledge of records management legislation and best practices ideally applied in an Oil and Gas sector setting. • Ability to work independently within a team environment. • Proven analytical and organizational skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to coach and mentor. • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
