1. Implements, monitors and maintains the Corporate Records and Information Management Program. 2. Provides guidance, to departments, pertaining to the analysis and inventory of records for conversion to the Corporate records management system and in determining appropriate practices and procedures relating to records and information management. 3. Conducts records and information management training and participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of procedure manuals, training manuals and workshop presentation materials. 4. Provides support for the implementation and maintenance of the electronic records management system, including testing, troubleshooting, user support and setup, access and security provisions and monitoring processes for transferring or migrating records and information. 5. Researches legislative and administrative requirements and assists with the review and approval process and with implementing revisions to the records retention schedules. 6. Performs audits of records and information management practices, procedures and systems within departments, prepares reports regarding compliance and recommendations for improvements and monitors progress in addressing recommendations. 7. Assists with identifying vital records and developing, implementing and maintaining a records and information management component of a business continuity and disaster recovery plan. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
$4,183.56 to $4,612.36 per month
Grade 12 education. Graduation from a recognized, two-year, post-secondary records and information management program. Two years related records and information management experience. Thorough knowledge of electronic records management software, implementation, terminology, principles and procedures. Thorough knowledge of records and information management policies, procedures, practices and systems. Knowledge of legislation pertaining to the management of municipal records. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision. Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures and to recommend and implement changes where necessary. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
